Assistant General Manager

The Mainstay Suites in Fargo is looking for a dynamic experienced individual in hotels that wants a future in the hospitality industry.

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the General Manager in overseeing hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, occupancy, and guest satisfaction
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of department heads and staff members
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of quality, cleanliness, and maintenance
  • Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and optimize expenses
  • Foster strong relationships with guests, vendors, and local partners
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing staff
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • 3 + years of hotel experience, preferably as a Leader, Trainer and/or Department Head
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations and customer service
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in hotel management software
  • Must have weekend availability. This position is structured for Wednesday-Sunday work weeks.
